EV Chargers
EV Charger
There are a few different types of electric car chargers, and the right one for your vehicle depends on the make and model of your car, as well as your charging needs. The most common electric car chargers are Level 1, Level 2, and DC fast chargers.
The details of each of these chargers are as follows:
Level 1 chargers:
These chargers are the slowest, but they are also the most affordable. Level 1 chargers use a standard 120-volt outlet and can take up to 20 hours to fully charge your vehicle.
Level 2 chargers:
These chargers are faster than Level 1 chargers and can fully charge your vehicle in about 4-8 hours. Level 2 chargers use a 240-volt outlet, the same type of outlet used for electric dryers and ranges.
DC fast chargers:
These chargers are the fastest and can charge your vehicle to 80% in about 30 minutes. DC fast chargers are more expensive than Level 1 and Level 2 chargers and are typically only used for commercial applications.
